Update on Chapter 5’s game
Unfortunately, having a full time job making games has left me with zero desire to do so when I get home in the evenings. I spent a couple months lamenting and dragging my feet, until finally reaching out to a some old game designer friends. For the fifth game, I’m going to try out working with Boogie Down Games to make the game in Unity! (and if the some of the artwork looks familiar .. it’s cause I already worked with them on a bunch of projects!) Hopefully everything will be a lot higher quality and a much smoother experience.
Here’s a couple sketches of me trying to figure out what the heck I’m doing! Hooray!
In addition, I was hitting a lot of walls in Construct 2 with getting collisions *ahem* to work. Setting up up the level took painfully long and it was riddled with bugs and strange coding problems I didn’t have the energy to troubleshoot.
